Explanation
The UTS-0300 Pre-Loaded Consolidation test kit is solidly built to ensure minimal frame distortion. The frame is designed to load the specimen via a lever assembly and one of three alternative beam ratios 9:1, 10:1 and 11:1. The beam is equipped with a counterbalance weight and beam support jack. The cell platform is equipped with a central plug to accept all UTEST consolidation cells and to ensure the cell is properly centered under loading.
UTEST fixed ring consolidation cells are manufactured from corrosion resistant materials and comply with the requirements of the relevant standards. An integrated water tank has been added to the cell, allowing the sample to be submerged when needed. All cells are supplied with upper and lower porous disc, pressure pad and cutting (sample) ring.
The One-Dimensional Consolidation test is used to determine the consolidation properties of low permeability soils.
