Explanation
The UTS-0300 Front-Loading Consolidation Test Set is robustly constructed to ensure minimal frame distortion. The frame is designed to load the sample through a lever arm mechanism and one of three alternative beam ratios of 9:1, 10:1, and 11:1. The beam is equipped with a counterbalance weight and a beam support jack. The cell platform is equipped with a central plug to accept all UTEST consolidation cells and ensure proper centering of the cell under load.
UTEST fixed ring consolidation cells are made from corrosion-resistant materials and comply with the requirements of the relevant standards. An integrated water reservoir has been added to the cell, allowing the sample to be submerged when necessary. All cells are supplied with a top and bottom porous disk, a loading pad, and a cutting (sample) ring.
The One-Dimensional Consolidation test is used to determine the consolidation properties of soils with low permeability.
